Schlitz, Pabst, Budweiser...

"Old day"? Anheuser-Busch controls 50% of the US beer market, so I'm guessing some Bud drinking still goes on. (Pabst, owner of the Schlitz label, is still the "fourth largest brewery" AND THEY DON'T EVEN BREW ANY BEER! Top that!).

What's there to talk about?

Seems to me you can talk about it here if you're looking for information and you accept those beers for what they are, don't claim they are the "best" and everything else "sucks" or ridicule people for drinking beer of a different sort. (Granted, there are people here who won't necessarily respond in kind- but, then, one doesn't go onto the BBQ newsgroup and rave about the McRib sandwich, either.)

For a good read on beers and breweries of the past, check out this fine site:

It started out as a Falstaff Beer site, but expanded to include lots of good info on other Falstaff/Pabst products like Ballantine Ale and then onto other regional breweries of the past.
