Bay Area brewery where you can make your own beer

There used to be a place like that in Mountain View next to the Costco. But it folded about N? years ago. I think there also used to be another brew-on-premises place in Cuptertino, but I think its long gone also (I never saw that place myself).

The only one I know of currently in the bay area is the Devil's Canyon Brewery in Belmont:

For the cost however, I think its cheaper to buy your own equipment and ingredients and make it yourself at home. And once you have your own eqiupment, the next time you brew you only have to buy more ingredients.

I agree with the cost angle. However I'm doing this as a team-building event at work so it certainly is nice to have a brewey that offers it. Personally I think if a micro-brewery market this right in the bay area, they should have no problem suriving it, as a side business at least.

Seems like the other brew-on-premise places folded around or before the tech-bubble popped.

So I guess as long as there are enough companies interested in using them as team-building events, they should survive.

Typically, tho, these places don't get much second tiem business, since people who become interested in brewing tend to want to make the jump to homebrewing.
