Dayton event to feature over 150 ales, lagers By Mark Fisher

It may be the closest thing to a beer-lover's paradise that we can get in Dayton. AleFest Dayton will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Carillon Historical Park.
The event will feature more than 150 ales and lagers from more than 50 breweries. Advance tickets cost $25 at several local beer-selling outlets ($30 the day of the event) and are good for 20 samples of beer — and you keep the commemorative tasting glass.
Nondrinking designated drivers pay $15 and receive a food voucher and a bottled water.
A raffle and silent auction of beer-related collectibles are planned. Proceeds benefit the Diabetes Association of the Dayton Area. Relief from the beer munchies will come courtesy of Cassano's Pizza & Subs and Milano's Atlantic City Subs. For more information, link to
