Heavyweight Stickenjab Alt & Cinderbock Lager

The Alt is a wonderfully malty brew with just enough hops to prevent it from being cloying..man, this is a *very* tasty one that needs to be tried before it disappears from the shelves for ever.

The Cinderbock, I read the label and it mentions some smoke....yeah, being a big sucker for Alaskan Smoked Porter, I just *knew* I'd like this smoky Lager and I was right. Great smoke, great malt..just a great beer that I'm sure a lot of you East coasters are gonna miss. I'm glad I got to try 'em...

Btw, I have quite a few more Heavyweights that I got in trade so...buckle up. :^)

Enjoy 'em while you can. Heavyweight are going out of business.

Shame. They were a very, very good brewery.

The Cinderbock always sounded great to me but I never had the chance to try it. I heard that Heavyweight had an even more intense smoked bock (an eisbock, IIRC) called Cinderbrr.

I thought the Stickenjab was pretty good. I loved Perkuno's Hammer.

I had a bottle of Lunacy last night. Pretty funky brew that had definite Belgian style tones to go along with a strong malty character. Pretty good stuff.

I have a bottle of Perkuno's...I had a few before and I *also* loved it.
