His technical prowess for developing the process to extract starches from beer far exceeded his marketing ability!!! Gablinger's Diet Beer from Rheingold indeed!!!

I thought his invention was well received.

The invention was well received, but it failed in the marketplace and was ultimately sold to Miller who was able to rename and market it properly. It's probably no surprise that Rheingold is no more while Miller Lite is known worldwide.
