The brewery was founded by Mark Stuhlreyer and Kevin Kluener, who plan to focus on lagers and ciders made with apples grown in Ohio. They?re currently offering a lager, heller bock, Denali IPA, dry-hopped cider, dry limed cider and traditional cider. Brewers Garrett Huber and Shae Pridemore, who recently worked at Cellar Dweller, are also creating a lager-based Baltic porter, craft light pilsner, rose cider and mosaic pale ale.

The distillery?s rum and vodka will be available in the coming months along with apple brandy, bourbon, rye and American whiskey in the future.

March First is distributing to about 20 local bars and restaurants while selling six-, 12- and 24-packs along with kegs and growlers from its dock. It recently purchased a canning line to switch from its bottled beer.

The taproom and beer garden will be open 4-9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, while dock sales are available 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
