Did you know that New England is home to roughly 125 breweries and brewpubs, with well-over 1,500 different beers being crafted each year? Don't worry, most people don't. But that's about to change!
BeerAdvocate.com is proud to announce Saturday, May 7, 2005 as the date for its first "New England Beer Fest" in Boston, MA. Attendees will enjoy the beery tastes of New England's six states, and have the unique chance to learn more about New England brewing.
"There hasn't been a regional beer fest like this in over 6 years," stated Todd Alström, Co-Founder of BeerAdvocate.com. "Our goal is to bring more awareness to the local craft beer scene, showcase the incredible diversity within the region, and entice beer lover's to start thinking and drinking a bit more locally."
In addition to the outstanding line-up of regional beers, the New England Beer Fest will feature special guest speakers from each New England state, artisanal cheeses from New England cheesemakers, and other delicious local foods.
"American's are spoiled by a massive selection of imports, both foreign and domestic, and often forget about all of the great beer that's being brewed right in front of them," added Jason Alström, Co-Founder of BeerAdvocate.com. "It's important to show support for your local beer scene."
