Smuttynose Maibock

I've finally tracked Smuttynose's Maibock down -- and it was worth the wait. It's got a beautiful golden color with a thick white head; a beautiful, fresh, flowery hop aroma; and delicious, clean, bready malt flavors. I'm guessing it's got about 8% ABV, but it isn't discernible on the palate. Overall, this is the best beer I've had since...well, Smuttynose's Imperial Stout. Some people would probably deem it excessively hopped, but I loved it.

The beers that comprise Smuttynose's "Big Beer" series have all been knockouts in my book.
