I live close of the St Sixtus abbey, brewer of the now "best beer of the world".

A friend of mine asked me to buy some beer for him, but after a month it is still here... I have the 8% brown beer .. if you're interested ...

is also close to St Sixtus, and Poperinge is the Hop region of Belgium.

I've got several bottles of all three beers here at the moment. Of course, the monks tell you you're not allowed to sell them on - not that anyone takes any notice.

I'm not selling mine, anyway. The 12% is being laid down for about 3 years to see if that restores it to its former substantially better self. I may drink the 6%. I haven't decided what to do with the 8% yet.
