Troubleshoot my keg system?

I have a homemade home draught beer setup, and recently it has been "burping" each time I open the faucet. It seems like the keg is empty, but its not.I get the burst of air, then foam, then beer.Does the keg coupler have check valves that prevent the beer line from draining back into the keg,and are perhaps stuck,or defective?I do clean the system with each new keg of beer. This is driving me crazy,I am almost ready to go back to bottled beer! Please help out a fellow brew consumer.

May not answer your q, but my keg line always gets some "air" ( CO2) in it between pints. And mine always has lots of foam, unless I let out lots of pressure, but then it goes flat soon. So I just live with it. The foam dies down, and the resulting beer is fine, anyway.

Cheers

Sounds like a leak in your beerline, maybe in the cooling spiral(or however it is called in English).Anyway somewhere where you can't directly see it. Mirko "Brad" schreef in bericht news:JOljb.109201$ snipped-for-privacy@news1.news.adelphia.net...
