Yards "Ales of the Revolution"

Picked up a six of the Porter a while back and the back-in-stock Tavern Ale this week. Nice enough beers (I've found some Yards bottled products to be "uneven" at times) but what justifies the rather high price? In NJ they were $12.99 a six-pack (as opposed to, say, HopDevil which sells for under $8)- admittedly in a store that tends to get top dollar.

Is it some sort of charity deal with "City Tavern"? At 8% alcohol, it's not as if they were in the "big" beer catagory. OK beers but I doubt I'll be buying more at those prices.

(And, so they seem to have skipped somebody's cousin, going from Washington to Jefferson...)

I ran into the same problem. I loved the Porter, awesome - with the molasses, yum. The prices have kept me from buying it again. I have the same problem with Weyerbacher's Rasberry Imperial Stout. Awesome, awesome beer, but at $11 a six, too expensive. Leo
