I know there are a few people out there who have been following this story. Well, it has passed both chambers in the Legislature (the House last year, the Senate today) and is headed to the Governor for his signature. One obstacle: he is a religious, non drinking sort, who just had his state school superintendent "float" the idea of taking evolution out of school textbooks (that idea just died also today.). Maybe that is why they are positioning this as a way to "promote tourism".
