A remarkable co-incidence?

What a remarkable co-incidence that the winning entry in The Daily Telegraph Perfect Pub Awards, sponsored by Abbot Ales, is a Greene King pub! (see today's Telegraph).

I imagine that the chances of this happening must be so astronomical as to qualify for the Guinness Book of Records.

Roy, Roy - such cynicism in one so young.

Actually, mathematically, it's about 30 to one. Still quite high odds, true.

Although the way they're buying up other pub companies, pretty soon it'll be evens between them and W&D ...

If you only count the pubs that are genuine contenders for the title of "Perfect Pub", the odds are probably much shorter.

Without knowing which pub has been named, it's hard to make further comment.
