can that we right ? since I have recently learnt that drinking any alcohol greater than 30 percent by vol of alcohol anesthetises the tongue, and hence incapacitates the taste buds. hence adding water brings out the flavour.
I have to agree with you on this. I love whisky, but until water is added, the aroma and flavours are definitely lacking.
