My tasting generically called Belgian Beer will be focused only on the "strongest" examples of Belgian beers uncorrectly called by British people "Belgian Barley Wines".

I am waiting for a large number of "strong" drinkers.

See you in London!

I've never heard anyone use that term!

In his books, Michael Jackson does refer to quite a few belgian beers as "barley winers". That's probably what Kuaska means...

It's probably a term Jackson dreamed up in one of the sober periods.

I have read several times this on MJ & Tim Webb books so I supposed that British people called "Belgian Barley Wines" beers from Wallonia & Flanders strong over 9 or 10 % vol. alc. I know of course that they do not intend to compare these beers to British Barley Wines.

BTW I hope that most of you with a brave heart will attend my "strongest" tasting !
