One of the most interesting bottled beers tried in recent times was Kent brewer's Shepherd Neame's (s?) seasonal "Late Red" ale along with their also seasonal Early Bird Ale.
Q. I understand that this is available in cask form for a short period of the year - is that right? Has anyone here tried it; and can it be ordered through the beer specialist distributors?
I just imagine it is even more of a killer on draught.

I tried this last year on draught in the Rugby Tavern near Russell Square in London, and it was SUPERB. That was in November. Shep's also produced a Christmas beer called Herald in 2001 but I didn't see it anywhere last year. That was worth trying as well.
