Moonraker Beer Festival

If you happen to be in Huddersfield this weekend, make your way up to Slaithwaite (pronounced Sl -ow (as when you hit your thumb with a hammer) - it) where the Moonraker Beer Festival is taking place in the local Conservative Club.

Well worth it, and the fabulous Commercial (house beer £1.90) is a mere stones throw away.

I do hope it's good.

and not full of teenage debauchery!

hmmm - usually up in Slaithwaite, that sort of thing involves sheep.

But, as I always say, no ewes is good ewes.

People sharing rooms in a hostel - what is the world coming to?

I bet applications for youth club membership will rocket...

You have to wonder what some parents are thinking when making decisions which affect the welfare of their own children.

And as for the adults who who put their reputations in the (child controlled) balance - maybe they should just not go on trips with youngsters. Perhaps trips is what parents are for?

Anyway, back to my pint of Opinion.

Timothy Taylors Landlord is still high on my list, but at the Stoke CAMRA t*****al I managed to locate the Excelsior, which, I seem to remember was from Osset, which is in Yorkshire I think. Anyway it might be brewed elsewhere. But it was good.

(I might change my thread if no-one else does.)
