Wetherspoon's Greene King IPA promo gets - wait for it - even better

I dunno if any of you lot are as lucky as we are in South London, but dahn ere Sthpooooon's is, pub by pub, running out of Greene King IPA. My local, The White Lion of Mortimer, is therefore now selling - wait for it - Ruddles Best at - wait for it - 99p a pint! In Tooting I think they have - wait for it - Courrage Best (I didn't try that as they also had - wait for it - JHB).

I had Pedi at 99p, they've even (in 1 pub) run out of Cge Best and Pedi, and put one of the guests on at said bargain price.

yes but none of those beers are drinkable at any price.

the pedigree can be! and often is! especially when, new, fresh, eggy and yeasty!

But unfortunately never ever as wonderful as it was when I tasted it at the Brewery well over 20 years ago. Bliss!

Thats because it "goes off" with time.

Ken.

My local received a new order of Greene Kynnge IPA so last night I was back on that; I was a bit short of money. In fact, can any of you lend me £1000? I have heard that some Wethersponns, having run out of both GK IPA and the Ruddles Best, are selling a guest beer at 99p. If you know of any, why not post it here?

Back when the festival was on, Batley had Inveralmond Ossian at 99p and it was excellent! (although GK IPA was still available)

Paul

Bolton had the Ruddles Bitter on at £0:99 yesterday.
