Anyone ordered from Swiss-Trader???

I made an online order from Swiss-Trader May 9 for some Saeco espresso machine parts. I was willing to pay a rather steep $14.55 for UPS ground shipping because they actually listed espresso pod gaskets and handles for Saeco machines.

After a few weeks, my order hadn't arrived, and I was beginning to wonder if this was just an internet operation designed to scam credit-card numbers. I tried calling a few times, didn't get to talk to anyone human, and finally left one unreturned message with their answering service. Fast forward to June 10 - I received a message informing me that my items were backordered and that they "should be in the warehouse in 7-10 days".

Now it's July 10 (a full two months after the order), and I've received one message that would seem to indicate that my items should have arrived by now.

Is this a real business, or did I just get scammed? This is getting really frustrating.

was your credit card charged? if so, there are definite rules regarding how long a merchant can sit on an order without fulfillment, and i'm pretty sure two months is beyond the limit. contest the charge on your card with your credit card company.

if your card wasn't charged, then cancel the order and shop someplace else.

Well - I fired off a sharply worded message (something about the service being unacceptable), and I got a response that it was shipped on July 5 - about 8 weeks after the initial order. Maybe it'll arrive at the office tommorrow.

When I ordered some espresso cups from IllyUSA, they had immediate listings of which items were on backorder. I ordered on a Friday, and the cups arrived in 2 business days via FedEX Ground. I've had no problems with backorders before - I usually get a message within days, and have been notified every step of the way until the items are shipped. Ordering from Swiss-Trader was a downright crappy compared to any other online retailer I've dealt with.
