copper

Hey all, just getting back into the swing of things and going to a 10 gal batch setup. working on my mash tun and I plan to use cpvc for the collector manifold under the grain bed. I'm also going to add a second manifold to run hot water thru to regulate mash temp (no more boiling water infusions!!! WHOOOO HOOO)

Question: If I use copper tube for the second manifold I will get much better heat transfer. will I run the risk killing the yeast with too much copper in the wort?????

With too much, yes...but your setup won't give you too much. A lot of people do what you propose without issues.
