Hello All,

I am getting ready to plunk down some cash and get into the home brewing hobby.

My local brewing shop (abt 15 miles up the road), doesn't have a very good selection of starter kits so I'm looking at making my equipment purchase online.

I found

, they have a better selection of equipment kits

I was really interested in the EVERYTHING + A CARBOY - Complete Brewing Package Equipment Kit #2 w/ Irish Red Ale (I would actually switch the mix to Irish Stout due to preference)

What do you guys think of the kits, I would like to stay under $160 since I'm just starting out. If there is a different online store that you have had personal experience with or suggestion on what kit or equipment to start please let me know (please explain the differences/why's).

Thank You in advance, "Wanna-Be Brewer" _Bigred

Congrats on getting started.

I've had good experience from Midwest, but I / we (my brew-club) often go to

first most of the time. (Orders over $60 have free shipping) - for all-grain brewing their kits are bit more detailed on grain-bill, etc. and they've always been great to deal with on the phone.
