Sour Extract?

I am in the middle of brewing my annual batch of pumpkin ale. When I opened the LME, it had a definite sour taste to it, which I had never noticed in any extract that I have had in 20 years of brewing. I have never heard of the stuff going bad, and it looks fine. I just purchased it this evening, from an otherwise reputable homebrew store where I regularly do business.

Has anyone experienced this before?

It is too late to stop the brew tonight. I guess I'll just hope for the best.
