Farewell, genmaicha

This is a green tea that may have been roasted a bit too much by mistake, so they fixed it by mixing it with roasted rice? It has that puffed rice breakfast taste you remember from your childhood. Surprisingly, it makes a good iced tea. I'm going on to other greens and mixtures for the autumn, but want t leave my options open on this one. Toci

Genmaicha is one tea I can honestly say I will never have a taste for. I even like puffed rice cereal but I just can't do it. You've mentioned the iced tea thing before and almost tempted me to try it but I knew I'd just end up with a bunch of extra wasted genmaicha and probably water my plants with the iced tea. I have tried so many times over the years thinking my palate would change, but so far genmaicha and candied sweet potatoes remain the two foods I can't even get down.

I tend to drop away from greens altogether in the fall/winter. It happens subconciously too because I never plan it, I just find myself with some comforting black tea or an oolong more often than not. What greens/mixes do you drink in Autumn? BLC is about the only green that remains in my rotation or possibly a jasmine green.
