Japanese equivalent of TeaSpring?

I think the original poster was looking for a company selling Japanese teas direct from Japan. Upton appears to be in the US (in Mass).

Yes, I have been a customer of Upton for a very long time, and continue to be. I like some of their Senchas and will probably continue to buy them from time to time. I'm just doing a bit of poking around to see what else is out there.

Den's Tea is a Japanese company, but they have a store in the US and ship from there. So, shipping is pretty quick and inexpensive, if you are located in the US. They made a change a couple of years ago and ship their teas to the US by air, rather than ship and they are much fresher, and more expensive than they used to be. The increase in price seems to match the increase in tea quality. Although, I really enjoyed their teas before the change also. I've never had a bad batch of tea from them. To me they are much better than anything I've received from Upton or Special Teas.

O-cha and hibikian have been mentioned, but there is also Itoen and Uji.

specialteas, holymtn, and yuzumura are also decent.

I've been enjoying a fairly low priced "Spider Leg Sencha" from Nicholas Coffee, a local coffee roaster in my area.
