The powered green tea is called "matcha". Just go online and type "matcha tea" and you will be overwhelmed with info. Skip all the ritual stuff and make matcha.

Or use this: "Preparation of the tea: Cleanse the matcha tin and spoon with the silk cloth. This symbolizes the cleansing of the host's thoughts and helps to attain full attention. Afterwards put some hot water into the tea bowl and clean the bamboo brush. Put the water into the waste water pot and clean the broom and tea bowl with the linen cloth. Now lift both the matcha tea container and the spoon and place 3 scoops per person into the bowl. With the ladle or directly from the kettle add enough water to whisk up a thick broth. Then add water until the tea is as thick as pea soup. The remaining water in the ladle is put back into the kettle. "

You may use electric wisk to beat the matcha but use lowest speed. Matcha is a very invigorating drink. Do not drink it before you go to bed (I mean if you plan on gettin some sleep) :)

Sasha.
