I had two long jings from teaspring.com

One was their emperor Long Jing which had a wonderful aroma but I couldn't seem to manage to get the flavor out of it I thought it was capable of... Rather light.

The other Long Jing I tried from them was their standard grade long jing and It was very good in my opinion. Gave me three very good steeps and relaxed my mind.

Thanks. I've had good experiences w/ TeaSpring as well, the recent turbulence here notwithstanding.

Excellent, personal, and prompt service...............................p*

have a local buyer in Hangzhou and they tell me the 2006 crop is variable but excellent in parts. They're selling the 2006 soon so I guess I'll find out any day. The word is that 2006 is looking like a better year than 2005 for most spring teas.

That's great news. I was v. disappointed with the '05 greens, and particularly the long jing.

After sampling many, I buy one mother-lode of long jing every year - last year I didn't find one I wanted, so I went without.
