Trip to Japan, some questions

Just returned from Japan where I drank a lot of great green tea:

- the cool (and hot) green tea they have in those omnipresent vending machines is quite good, I especially enjoyed the tea sold by Coke (and Ito), but wondered about the information that it contained 300mg of "something" per can, any info? Could this relate to antioxydants, or l-theanine? Also they seem to indicate the caffeine content of their tea, usually 7-15mg per 100ml, am I correct? I can't read Kanji unfortunately...

-Drank some great and frothy but expensive (5USD per bowl) Maccha in Kyoto, the only place I saw it readily offered to tourists.

-bought some excellent Maccha in the small and interesting shops (bought nice tea pot and bowl) behind the Tokyo fish market, best price was 15USD for 300g, prices vary greatly between shops (saw the same tea at double the price) and this seems to be a very good deal.

-bought some loose leaf green tea, for about the same price as here (Paris), 15 USD for 150g for a good quality tea.
