Does anyone in Japan have any news on what the big (or small) bottlers are doing this year in Japan? I know that there are new products out every year and wonder what to look forward to next week.
Also, any new trends in general in tea in Japan?

I haven't really seen anything particularly exciting in terms of new bottled teas from Japan in Hong Kong. We'd tend to see those if there are any...

I never understand the salty tea drinks, no matter how sure I am of a drink I always end up with a salty one. My last one was a nice big bottle of plum flavored iced tea... but slightly salty. Ugh. That is one thing I don't get. There's always Lychee juice and Ramune soda when I want to play it safe. :)
