I thought this letter in response to a news article in the Hamilton Spectator (Canada) was odd. Railing against the "glorification of tea"? Well maybe railing is a little strong, but still...I thought it was silly.

"Glorification" sounds like exageration to within shouting distance of nonsense.
Reminds me a little of a subject in Alice's talk with Humpty Dumpty:
....'But "Glory" doesn't mean "A nice knockdown argument",' Alice objected.
`When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
`The question is,' said Alice, `whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
`The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, `which is to be master -- that's all.'
