So, I lent a friend of mine a rifle for deer-hunting season. No hardship, I wasn't using it this year anyway, he bought ammo, brought it back cleaned and oiled, and with no (new) scratches. Even cleaned the lenses on the scope from the look of it. Seemed like a done deal, right?
Well, he also gave me a bottle of 14-year old Scapa, as a thank you. I've encouraged him to feel free to borrow a rifle from me any time he wants. I'll post tasting notes (naiive as my vocabular is) once I've tasted it. I like the Scapa 12, I loved the Scapa 25 that we bought our boss a few years ago (gave that, and 4 snifters to him as a gift. We weren't subtle about it.)
