Chivas Regal 18 yr old blend

OK, saw this one and have never tried it. Seems a possibility... but it is a blend....

Thoughts?

Isn't Chivas Regal really cheapo scotch? I always see it in small liquor stores I go to, right next to the Cutty Sark. Those are about the only scotch's they carry.

Sigh. It seems that very few understand that a superior blend might be enjoyable, even more so than its constituent single malts... Face it, there are some real lousy single malts around, there are quite a lot of lousy blends too... But, a master blender, like with the grand chateaux in Bordeaux and their grape varieties, should be able to create something extraordinary out of a set of top single malts. So, the concept of a blend should not be dismissed just because it is a blend and thus not accepted by single malt maniacs :-) Anders btw - the CR 18 is about 45USD
