It's a little peppery, to be sure, but not very smokey.

Of course my more usual fare runs to the likes of Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Caol Ila, Ardbeg, ... you get the idea.

Exactly my kind of taste. I've just returned from a raid on Alberta, where the liquor taxation policy is less rapacious than in British Columbia. I brought home a 1996 Longrow, a cask strength Caol Ila and the Bruichladdich 3D3, which I believe is currently their most heavily peated release.

Looks like a good winter coming up.
