International Wine & Spirits Competition Awards 2005

My local Waitrose was decked out with gold and silver stars this evening, in recognition of the IWSC awards for 2005. They'd even bought in stocks of the eighteen year old Talisker which won Gold Medal for the best 18 - 21 YO.

Interesting to note that Ardbeg one only one award, for their CS Ardbeg Uigeail at 54.2% which one a silver award

They're selling them at £40. However, Waitrose often have bin end clearances to free up shelf space, so bearing in mind this isn't one of their stock products, I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop the price to £30 for the last few. They do this with port on occasion.
