No reason to yell (turn off the caps-lock).

The problem with making spirits (distilling alcohol) is that it's illegal in most parts of the world without jumping through a lot of hoops. I'm sure, however, that a few searches on Google could turn up some information.

Is it illegal to distill water for your car battery? Get the equipment to make distilled water, and there you have it.

You can own a still with the capacity of 1 gallon for such things, but using it to distill alcohol is still illegal.

So much fuss over an illegal (cuz of tax revenue regulations) operation, when wine is SOOOOO much better for ya, tastes great and is perfectly legal.

Note that I suggested the reader search Google for information. I wouldn't want to be the one depriving the government of it's revenue, but the information is out there if someone is so inclined.

Also of interest of this group is title 27 section 24.75 which allows home winemaking. and title 27 section 25.205 which allows homebrewing. Mead is considered wine...cider too I believe.
