Jim Murray's ratings in Whisky Bible 2004

Have just spent a good few days obsessing over this great book but ...



Is Teachers and Grant's family reserve really as good (or better than) Highland Park 18YO, better than Lagavulin 16YO, better than Talisker



10YO.

I have no problem with blends, but to me this seems crazy. Surely the individuality and brilliance of these whiskies puts them in a different league to a well crafted blend.



A love affair with blends ? Or maybe he was a bit 'blended' when he retasted them :)
