Alice White wines - any thoughts?

Sep 12, 2003 3 Replies

Hi all, Just saw an ad in the newspaper - World Market (Cost Plus!) has some on sale for $4.99 (US). The red is a Shiraz and I can't remember what the white is. Anyway, it seems to me that I've read positive reviews in various publications, and possibly in this newsgroup. Any first-hand tasting reports and recommendations from you folks would be greatly appreciated.

TIA, Dick

I have the 2002 Cab and Shiraz in 187ml bottles. I assume they put the same stuff in the 750ml bottles. For the money, the Cab is fantastic. The Shiraz is very good. I suspect this is a fairly large producer with good winemaking technique, producing good bulk wines. At

5 bucks a bottle, pick them both up.

Hi Leo,

187ml bottles? Is that an airline-size? Must be cute little buggers. :-)

Thanks for your resp> I have the 2002 Cab and Shiraz in 187ml bottles. I assume they put

Yes, they sell them 4 to a cardboard pack. Several other wineries sell this size, for example, Sutter Home, Gallo, Bella Sera.
