This is a trial run for a proposed weekly "mini-FAQ" that points to the website, gives the table of contents and also lets readers know that there's a monthly posting of the FAQ itself. All comments, questions, criticisms and off-the-wall commentary welcomed.

Good idea. If the mini-FAQ is posted weekly, is the monthly FAQ even necessary?

If I may offer a suggestion, I think a brief description of the kinds of flavors one typically should expect from certain types of wines would be a very nice addition. Like, in a typical Merlot, one can expect x,y,z. It's rather general because 2 vintages can taste different, but there has to be some kind of baseline.

It provides it for those with no or poor web access.

That's a good point, Jose. Along the same lines, it permits offline access to the full FAQ for people whose Internet connection is slow, unreliable or costly. It also covers for the contingency where the Web page may be inaccessible (server down, DNS problems, etc.). Still, I'll be interested to hear what others think about this.
