Noticed that in Sonoma there was no mention of Cyrus. Going to spend three days in Sonoma at the Applewood Inn with one dinner there. Was considering going to Cyrus one night but on Trip Advisor the reviews are so mixed from great to terrible and at the price, I expect mostly very good to excellent.

Do I take it that you aren't advocating for an entry for Cyrus? ;-) FWIW, you may recall the two excellent meals that we had at Willi's and Cafe La Haye not long ago.

No, not advocating, just wondering if anyone has been there and has any comments. I go to both Willi's Wine Bars and enjoy them. Just wondering if I should add Cyrus as a place to go as the comments on it are all over the place. Same for Dry Creek. It is always a crapshoot when going to a new restaurant but these places are extremely expensive and often tough reservations to get. Are they worth the cost and the effort? I trust this group more than Trip Advisor as there are so many people on that who get a bug up there arses and then write horrible reviews of places that may not really reflect the experience.

Have you checked Chowhound and e-Gullet, Larry? Searching e-Gullet forums requires registration, but if you Google for a name with the site:egullet.com tag, you can bypass registration (I probably shouldn't say that in a public forum, but it's a useful feature).

Thanks, E-gullet didn't have much, Chowhound a few, still a tough decision based on these few reviews. Probably sounds like a pass to me.
