In the nearby Rutherglen area, great Australian muscats, tokays and tawny & vintage fortified (Aus "port" styles) especially from Chambers, Campbells, Pfeiffers, Morris. Decent reds and some whites from many of the wineries in this area too. For BIG concentrated reds Warrabilla stands out.

Down the nearby Kiewa, Ovens & King Valleys there are numerous wineries; Gapstead is notable, also Annapurna, Dal Zotto, Pizzini, & Brown Brothers' large family owned winery & restaurant complex.

Plenty of good stuff ranging from cool climate in Whitlands, Italian styles in the King Valley, to bold reds from the warm areas around Rutherglen as well as the fortifieds. There are some good local tourist brochures readily avalible with maps and winery & eating out options.

Have fun.
