Chosing Brunel or Terrabianca

I want to buy ONE ONLY (maybe both ;-)) of these two wines at Costco

Brunel Chateanuef du Pape 2004 $24.99

Terrabianca Campaccio 2003 $27.89 (Sangiovese & Cab Sauv)

I can remember liking Chateauneuf du Pape, and I do like Sangiovese

+Cab Sauv.

I can't seem to find anything about the year 2004 for Brunel. Everything I read about Brunel, I get more and more confused. Are his wines that/any good? I'm not quite sure what the difference is between his "Les Cailloux" wines and the other so designated wines.

Any comments welcome. Dee

In addition to running the Les Callioux estate with his brother Lucien, Andre Brunel also buys grapes from other producers and makes wine from them (that's known as a neogicant business). I know of his "Cuvée Sommelongue" Cotes du Rhone and his line of wines sold under the "Feraud Brunel" label (made in collaboration with Laurence Feraud of Dom. du Pegau). I know that there is a Feraud-Brunel CdP, and I suspect that this is what you may have seen at Costco.

Regardless, the wines I've had from Andre Brunel have been well made and fairly traditional. For that price (and in a decent year from the S. Rhone) I'd not pass up the CdP.
