Etiquette, from Lord of the Lurkers

Just a friendly reminder, from long time contributor, now full time lurker (well, until the rush is over, sometime around 2020!!!!!)

A comprehensive FAQ for alt.food.wine is available at

For any newbies / would-be posters, I recommend taking a quick look-see.

Over the past weeks/months, I have seen an increasing retro-trend towards including the full text of a post with a very short reply.

You know the sort of thing - A Poster writes a comprehensive, 500 word report entitled "The Non-Availability of French Wines in Columbus, Ohio" (grin!), and B Poster includes the whole post, while adding "I agree!"

For the sake of us s-l-o-w r-e-a-d-e-r-s please, please! please!!! [snip] to a short, relevant excerpt!

Regards to all

Moi aussi (translation: I am an Australian). More importantly, what is being done to address the crisis regarding non-availability of French wines in Columbus Ohio? Cheers! Martin

You are right - I agree!! :-} Also, thanks for posting the FAQ URL for those, who do not have it, or have it handy. I have it bookmarked on IE on office machines, but not the laptop, at least, not until now.

But they are still inferior to Italian wines, so who cares?
