How can it be spam? And I did put [FA] in the subject so it complies with the news groups polices. Thanks

I know this wine from the 70's era and still have 2 bottles of the 75 Riserva Vigna Monticchio. I notice the auction is about to end and there have been no bids above the opening. The price is fairly high. I am not in the market for any more wine from the 70's, but if I were, here is what I would consider. This wine usually keeps well after 10 years with near perfect storage. However my experience is that it often begins to fade a bit after 20 years. Thus I would first try to find recent tasting notes for the 74. I also would have to know storage conditions. It should have been properly stored in the dark at a constant temperature of 55 F or less. Then I would search out prices, if any could be found. This can be an excellent wine, but it usually does not have the extreme potential for long aging that some top examples of Brunello and Barolo do. I suspect most are going to see the price, see no mention of proper storage at constant 55 F or lower, and move on elsewhere without bothering to contact the seller. We are not talking 1985 Romanee-Conti here, where a potential buyer might go to a lot of trouble to research the wine.
