How long does a Barbaresco Riserva hold out?

Hello; Well, the topic says most of it, really. I am contemplating a meal with wines from 1982 (birth of our youngest son), and so far, we have a Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr (not Dr Loosen, this time), and one of the few vintage ports of that year (high time to open that bottle, I think). So, I´m looking for a red wine as well, and found in the 'treasure chest' of my favorite wine shop a Barbaresco Riserva 1982. Sounds odd. DO they really keep that long? And no, I don´t know anything about producer etc.

TIA and cheers,

Nils Gustaf

I finished a case of non-reserva 1985 at the age of 19. A good riserva may well be fine at that age, but as in any wine that old, YMMV
