Interesting notes, Dale, especially the Chave CdR. As you may recall, I was seriously underwhelmed by the 2000 Offerus St. J., but your CdR sounds like my kind of wine. BTW, shouldn't the subject be "Grape Expectations"? :P

note: this showed improvement on second night, but by night 3 was oxidized and not so attractive. While one can't always extrapolate aging from tasting over a couple of days, this was further evidence that this wine is for shorter term consumption Dale
