I just returned from an extended 60th birthday trip to Carmel/ Monterrey then Napa. had some terrific meals, Bernardus, Auberge Carmel, French Laundry, Bouchon, Harvest Moon (Sonoma) Bottega and tasted plenty of wines. For whatever reason we ended up tasting a ton of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Most notable Pinots were those from ROAR, Failla and Talbott. Chards from Neiman Cellars and Far Niente.
