Tonight, with a dinner of smoked wild-caught Alaskan salmon and stir-fried vegatables, I opened:
2007 Cono Sur "Limited Release" Riesling ($7.99) nose: petrol, stones, lime palate: citrus, decent acidity, peach fruit, dryHad I been served this wine blind, I would probably have guessed that I was tasting a QbA Riesling from Germany. Good varietal character, clean and fruity, it's not a profound wine, but a very good QPR Riesling.
