TN: 1982 Chateau Gazin

Tonight we had a 1982 Gazin with a leg of lamb. The wine and food were wonderful. They were especially good together. The wine still was a deep red with no tinges of brown. The phrase "Still fruity after all these years" came to mind. My apologies to Paul Simon. The wine tasted very fruity with the main flavor being cherries and grapes with a hint of raspberry. I wish there was a case or two of this wine in my cellar, but this was the only bottle left.

Fred.

thanks for the notes. I have less Pomerol than any other major Bdx appelation, it seldom strikes me as a good value. But I have to admit I think every '82 Pomerol I've tried has been top-notch. Dale
