2013 Donnachiara Fiano di Avellino Full-bodied, dry but with sweet white pit fruit, minerally, a little almond . B+/B1988 Jean-Marc Bouley “Clos de Cave”: Volnay Fairly low expectations, village wine from a producer I don't know. But thi s was actually good- mature but not tired. Black cherry and a little pomegr anate, good acids, some coffee and earth notes. Nose is a bit better than t he palate, it's somewhat short on finish. But for a cheap Winebid purchase I’m happy. B
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a p arty where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivi ty, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
