TN: coupla BTG Austrians

Tuesday Betsy took me to Boro6, a newish wine bar in Hastings. We shared bu rrata with ramp pesto, a nice salad, open-faced tuna sandwich and proscuitt o/buffalo mozz sandwich. A couple glasses, I wasn’t really planning on all Austrian (or both Hugl variants)

2017 Hugl-Winner Zweigelt Sweet cherry, some oregano-y herb notes, tingly, good. B

2016 Hugl Gruner Veltliner Pear and a little citrus, moderate acids, nothing that screams GV to me. B-

Ok, not great wine night, but we had fun and then enjoyed nice walk at Has tings waterfront

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a p arty where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivi ty, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
