The above page is by the University of Pennsylvania's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. The oldest known chemical signature of wine was detected in a roughly 7000 year old jar from Hajji Firuz Tepe, a site in the Zagros Mountains in Iran. There are many more exhibits of ancient wine-related things.

Yes, I found it in the NetWatch section of Science. I find many interesting web sites here. Many are difficult to turn up on Google, because you have to go down so many pages past the commercial things before you find them.
